Q. I cannot access www.ckcharity5050.com.  What should I do?

Per Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations – you must be located within Ontario at the time of your ticket purchase. Your device’s locations services must be turned on to verify your location prior to entry to the online sales platform. Users must also agree to all Terms and Conditions outlined.


Q. Why does www.ckcharity5050.com.  require my location? Why am I receiving the following prompt: "https://www.ckcharity5050.com.  would like to use your current location?"

Per Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations – you must be located within the province of Ontario at the time of your ticket purchase. Your current location will confirm your eligibility.


Q. What if I already selected "Don't Allow"?

Reloading the page should cause you to be prompted to share your location again. If you have specified that you never want to share your location, you will need to go into your settings to allow. See Enable Device Location Services Section.

 

Q. What if I receive one of the following prompts? 

  • "You must allow your browser to share your location to purchase tickets. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
  • "Location information is unavailable. In order to purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
  • "The request to get user location timed out. In order to purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."
  • "An unknown error occurred while attempting to determine your location... In order to purchase tickets your location must be able to be determined. Please enable location services for this browser and try again."

 These prompts are related to your Location setting. You may have told your browser to never share your location. You have to change that setting before continuing with your ticket order. Click here for instructions on how to enable your location services based on the device you are using.

 

Q. How does the CK Charity 50/50 Raffle draw work?

The 50/50 draw administered by Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation (license holder) and Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent is a raffle licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) where individuals purchase ticket(s) for the opportunity to win 50% of the total money raised through the sale of 50/50 tickets.



Q. Where does the other 50% of the proceeds raised go?

The other 50% of the proceeds raised supports Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent To learn more about either organization, please visit www.chathamkenthospice.com or

Q. Who is eligible to buy 50/50 draw tickets?

If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible to purchase 50/50 draw tickets:

·     Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of purchase

·     Must be located in the Province of Ontario at time of purchase

·     Must not be one of the following:

§  Full-time, part-time, or student employee of Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent

§  An employee of the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario

§  An employees of the supplier of the 50/50 System who are involved with the development and/or support of the 50/50 System

§  Such other persons designated from time to time as Related Parties by the Foundation


Note: Prior to the purchase of a ticket online, you will be required to verify your eligibility and that the information is complete and accurate.



Q. Can I play more than once in a game?

Yes. You can purchase more than one ticket per event or game.



Q. What are the odds of winning?

The odds of winning the prize are based on the number of tickets sold.



Q. How is the winning number drawn?

A unique winning number is randomly generated and issued by the electronic 50/50 system out of the numbers purchased online for that particular draw. The mechanism for selecting the winning number is a computer-based random number generator that has been certified by the AGCO.


Q. When is the winning number drawn and posted?

50/50 ticket sales close at Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm ET. Once the winning 50/50 number has been drawn and posted, you can find it and the prize amount at the www.ckcharity5050.com or on @ckcharity5050 Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages


Q. How do I claim my prize?

If you have the winning 50/50 number, please contact CK Charity 5050 Raffle at ckcharity5050@gmail.com or 519-354-3113 ext 2404. You must complete the required winner claimant documents in person at Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation office located at 34 Wellington St E, Chatham, ON N7M 3N7 within six months of the draw date.

 

The winner will then be paid by cheque. You must present your winning ticket (electronically or printed) along a government-issued photo ID. Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation will verify the ticket and purchase. The winning ticket cannot be tampered with (Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation reserves the right to deny winnings if the ticket has been reproduced or changed from its original state).

 

The winner must provide their name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.

Please note: Online ticket sales must be claimed by the individual named in the original purchase transaction. CK Charity 50/50 Raffle, Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, and Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent are not responsible for any division of the winning prize amount to any other party other than the individual named in original purchase transaction.


Q. What currency is the prize money paid in?

All transactions and winnings are paid in Canadian Dollars. Prize will be paid by cheque payable to the winner.



Q. When can I expect to receive my winnings?

Prize winnings will be paid by cheque within 30 days of the completion of the claim process.



Q. Do I need to live in Ontario to play?

You do not need to live in the province of Ontario to purchase a 50/50 ticket but you do need to be physically located within the province of Ontario at the time of purchase of your online 50/50 ticket to be eligible to play.



Q. How can I pay for my online 50/50 ticket?

Our online 50/50 website accepts the following payment types: Visa, MasterCard, Debit Visa or Debit Mastercard



Q. I purchased a 50/50 ticket but did not get my numbers. What should I do?

If you purchased your 50/50 ticket but did not receive your numbers, please check your junk or spam folders in the event it was flagged by your email provider. If you still do not have your 50/50 ticket, contact ckcharity5050@gmail.com and our support staff will re-send your raffle numbers (some verification will be required). If your transaction completed successfully, your numbers will still be part of the draw.



Q. I think I, or someone I know, may have a problem with gambling. What should I do?

Q. I entered the incorrect email and did not print my tickets, how can I get my tickets resent?

Please go to the Contact page and request that the raffle Manager email you your tickets.


Q. When I am trying to process a transaction it is not working? What can I do? 

Please remember that when you are filling in the personal information at the checkout page the address you input must match the address of the Credit Card that will be used for the transaction. Please ensure all fields are inputted correctly.



Q. The site is not loading properly, and I am not able to get to the checkout page, What can I do? 

Based on the browser you are on, please go to the settings then history and clear cookies and cache. Once completed please close the page, reopen and try again.
